During Spring Break 2010, a service team from the Revolution traveled to Memphis, TN partnering with Service Over Self (SOS). Our group was divided up depending on the type of projects that needed to be accomplished that week. Because each group spent the entire week working with one family, there were many opportunities to share our lives and our faith with the people we were serving.

Projects included everything from roofing to installing a new bathroom. But you didn't need to be a carpenter to help out—SOS had great leadership on every worksite to help everyone get involved. Their motto is, “We’re missionaries first and carpenters second.” So while the construction is a huge part of their ministry, SOS was very enthusiastic about interacting with people and children in the community.
