Notes from Joe Lieway's message:

Plague #1: Floodwaters of the Nile into Blood - This Plague is very important. The first plague was a judgment against OSIRIS, the god of the Nile, Isis, goddess of the Nile.
Plague #2: The Swarm of Frogs - This was a judgment against Heqet, the frog-headed goddess of birth. Instead of preserving life, the frogs died.
Plague #3: Lice/Gnats - This was a judgment against Seth the god of the desert. Unlike the previous plagues, the magicians were unable to duplicate this one, and declared to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God."
Plague #4: Flies - This was a judgment on either HATKOK, the wife of Osiris, and RA, who were both depicted as flies.
Plague #5: The Death of Livestock - This too was a judgment on the goddess Hathor and the god Apis, who were both depicted as cattle.
Plague #6: Boils - This was a judgment against several gods such as, TYPHON, Sekhmet, Sunu and Isis that were considered gods over health and disease.
Plague #7: Hail and Fire - This was an attack on SHU, the god of the atmosphere, Nut, the sky goddess, Osiris, the crop fertility god, and Set, the storm god.
Plague #8: Locusts - This plague was an attack on god, SERAPIA – the god who was considered protector of Egypt against locusts. The later crops, wheat and rye, which had survived the hail, were now devoured by the swarms of locusts. There would be no harvest in Egypt that year.
Plague #9: This was judgment against the sun god, RA, who was symbolized by Pharaoh himself. For three days, the land of Egypt was suffocated with an unearthly darkness, while the homes of the Israelites had light.

Grace in the midst of judgement: As an example of His grace, God warned Pharaoh to gather whatever cattle and crops remained from the previous plagues and shelter them from the coming storm. Verse 19 reads, “Quick! Order your livestock and servants to come in from the fields. Every person or animal left outside will die beneath the hail.” Some of Pharaoh's servants heeded the warning, while others did not.
